Depending on qualifications, part-time positions and junior research assistantships are probably available for around $15 - 20,000/yr. Full time jobs probably starts at about $35 - 40,000 for a very junior beginning zoologist up to $150,000 for a senior animal wildlife manager. These are the extremes. The average is probably around $60 - 80,000/year. This is not just for zoologists, but for just about any scientific job in Canada.
